Set a goal and visualize it down to the most minute detail
In the past few years, I have had plenty of relapses in my fitness and “diets” and the excuses are endless. However, as an individual who is looking to improve peoples’ lifestyles I am working on practicing what I preach.
Make a list of the reasons you want to accomplish the goal.
Another goal that I’d like to share with all of you is my goal to improve my eating habits. I hope to reach a point where the food I eat is a healthy part of my lifestyle, by decreasing the amount of junk food, reducing the number of times per week eating out, and improving the qualities of the meals I eat while at work, or away from home.
Break the goal down into smaller pieces and set intermediary targets — and rewards
I will start by cooking more often. Creating fun and easy combinations of nutrient rich foods. Pre-planning meals for the days that I work long hours and monitor the amount of snacking I do between meals.
Have a strategy, but be prepared to change course
It will be difficult at first. I am not a very good cook to begin with so planning out the meals ahead of time will be important. Also keeping healthy snacks around will reduce the amount of junk food I eat. Drinking lots of water will also settle those cravings.
